Location : Architekturfoyer, HIL, Hönggerberg, ETH Zurich
Since it was established in 1995, the architectural firm Geninasca Delefortrie has developed a unique language and positioning in the architectural landscape of western Switzerland. The many projects completed by Laurent Geninasca and Bernard Delefortrie’s team include public
and private buildings, complexes for education, culture, industry, healthcare, sport and tourism, residential properties and urban planning commissions. The firm’s reputation has spread beyond regional boundaries thanks to major projects such as the La Maladière football stadium
in Neuchâtel. The success of Geninasca Delefortrie owes much to the care with which the two architects engage with the context of each construction site and consistently strive to find environment-friendly solutions.
The exhibition at the ETH Zurich presents 20 projects by Geninasca Delefortrie. Large-format plans offer an insight into the details of the planning process, while projections and pictures help to set the buildings in their context. Alongside the familiar major projects such as La
Maladière and the Marcelin teaching centre, there are also smaller works such as the villa in Chabrey and the footbridge over the Areuse river. The first monograph on Geninasca Delefortrie is being published to accompany the exhibition, in English by Birkhäuser and French by Infolio.
An exhibition by the Institute gta in collaboration with Geninasca Delefortrie, Neuenburg
