Forensic Architecture: A History of Dust and Data

Organizer: Visiting Professor Eyal Weizman
Date: Thursday, 27 February 2020 to Thursday, 7 May 2020
Time: 18.00 to 20.00 Thursday 6 pm
Location: HIL E 1

The lecture series will proceed along two lines going in opposite directions: one leading out from architecture, the other leading in. Using the work of Forensic Architecture, the investigative agency he directs, Eyal’s lectures will discuss the ways in which architectural tools and techniques could help engage with questions of politics, media, and climate justice. Ines will show how such forensic methods — tuned to the materiality of buildings, their media and digital representations — could be used to enrich the spectrum of options available to the architectural historian.
