Talk in English by Meredith TenHoor, followed by a conversation with the editors Moritz Gleich and Christa Kamleithner and an apéro

Long before it began to communicate with digital devices, architecture interacted in and with networks: as a medium amongst media, organizing access, connectivity, and isolation—thereby affecting knowledge, subjectivity, and social behavior as well as climate and environment. After a short talk on her contribution “City, Country, Colony: Food Systems and the Media of the Avant-Garde”, Meredith TenHoor will discuss the mediality of architecture and the relationship between German media studies and Anglo-American architectural history with the editors of the volume Medium unter Medien: Architektur und die Produktion moderner Raumverhältnisse, recently published in the renowned series “Bauwelt Fundamente.” The volume includes contributions by Zeynep Çelik Alexander, Christoph Asendorf, Beatriz Colomina, Mark Crinson, Moritz Gleich, Tom Holert, Christa Kamleithner, Reinhold Martin, Roland Meyer, Bernhard Siegert, and Meredith TenHoor.
