Lucius and Annemarie Burckhardt developed "strollology" with their students in Kassel in the 1980s. As early as the 18th century, the landgraves in Kassel had walkway choreographies laid out in their parks. During the reconstruction of Kassel's destroyed city centre after the Second World War, one of the first pedestrian zone in Germany was created in Kassel.

Study trip focusing on walking as a methodological tool for exploring, writing and communicating architectural history. Examination of walking as a critical approach to urban and landscape spaces.
