Born in 1968. Isabel Haupt studied Architecture at the Technical University of Munich (Germany).
1995 Diploma project with Thomas Herzog.
1996 - 97 postgraduate studies in the History and Theory of Architecture at ETH Zurich. 1997 Thesis on the topic "Valadier and the city gate"
Since 1993 participation at archeological excavations
1995 - 98 Working at research projects and archeological excavations of the German Archaeological Institute (Rome and Athens) and other scientific institutes.
1998 - 2001 scientific assistant at the Technical University of Dresden (Germany), Institute of History and Theory of Architecture and conservation of historic monuments. Collaboration at the interdisciplinary research project "Documentation of sacred architecture of Jewish communities in Saxony" of the Center for Jewish Art at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem (Israel) and the Department of Architectural History at the Technical Univerity of Braunschweig (Germany).
2001–2007 scientific assistant at ETH Zurich, Institute of History and Theory of Architecture.
2005 Doctoral Thesis "Christian Traugott Weinlig (1739-99): An architect's career in the Electorate of Saxony"
Since August 2007 supervisor in architectural conservation, Kantonale Denkmalpflege Aargau
Since 2011 deputy curator of monuments at the office of Historic Preservation of the Kanton Aargau
